SIFI opens its branch office in Mexico, making a significant step in order to expand its presence in the Latin American Markets.
The opening of Laboratorios SIFI De México resulted in a $ 3 million investment. Currently the subsidiary employs thirty people and in the next two years it is already planned to double the company staff.
SIFI’s goal is to reach a 13 % of market share by 2011. All of this,in the therapeutic classes in which the company is going to compete and as a result, SIFI will be placed among the first 4 leader companies in the EyeCare market.
SIFI is going to introduce significant innovations and new therapeutical opportunities in the ophthalmic segment: for the first time in the Mexican market, new molecules such as NETILMICINE and PRANOPROFENE (pre and post-operative antibiotics) will be available. Furthermore, SIFI’s eye drops are going to be produced in unit-dose presentations also so to ensure maximum safety, greatest sterility and the highest biocompatibility, essential factors in case of prolonged therapy like the Dry-Eye Syndrome.
Mexico represents the 10th ophthalmic market in the world with a constant and well promising growth rate. It is the second Latin American market and today it is worth $ 180 millions.
The President of Laboratorios SIFI de México is Antonio Benanti, 33 y.o., third-generation businessman. Antonio Benanti has an economic and financial background and he has developed his professional experience in International settings.
