Roberto Rimini

An initiative resulting from three-year-long work, that gave rise to a wide retrospect at “Le Ciminiere” of Catania in 2002, and to a catalogue devoted to the Master Roberto Rimini (Palermo 1888 – Acitrezza 1971).

A preliminary and important stage that has also been the opportunity to start a systematic reconstruction of the Painter’s artistic production. Forerunner and courageous artist, discordant voice in an era when everybody seemed to conform to the stereotypical image of the truth as miserable, sad, shallow, Roberto Rimini offers an epical representation of the work, of the harshness of nature and Humaneness.

He is a Sicily’s poet, capable to lead us to real places and metaphoric places, belonging to the collective memory, but redefined with the stroke of a master of light.

A great catalyst of positive Energy, who knows the drama and can touch the most different tides of feelings.
