DIABETIC MACULAR EDEMA New therapeutic perspectives and integrated management: patient quality of life and opportunities for the National Health Service (SSR)
Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) is a degenerative eye disease related to diabetic retinopathy, which is the main cause of visual impairment in patients with diabetes and can often lead to blindness, compromising every day activities.
The region of Campania, in recent years, has implemented a series of corrective measures in the management of diabetes and its complications, in order to ensure a better and integrated patient care.
During this conference, ample space will be dedicated towards the clinical and pharmacological analysis and the economic-health assessments of this pathology, in order to stimulate debate between stakeholders, to highlight the real importance of timely diagnosis and identify the best regional methods and management programs to protect patients with EMD.
