In the last years SIFI has generated more than 60 patents and secured international alliances worldwide to export its growing portfolio overseas. Our product range spans from state-of-the-art intraocular lenses for cataract surgery to nutraceuticals, helping to support the diet in order to prevent the occurrence of retinal pathologies.
Our 60,000 square meter manufacturing plant has a capacity of up to 23 million units a year and is equipped with advanced Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS)
technology, allowing the production of ophthalmic products in unit and multi-dose formats. Unit-dose format introduction has allowed to effectively respond to the need for greater drug tolerance and dosage precision.
The BFS system also enables production without use of preservatives and accurate calibration of instilled drug quantities.
Focus On > Versatility
Our new manufacturing facility, dedicated to the production of intraocular lenses, is an example of technological excellence. Conceived according to the highest standards, it ensures unrivaled levels of precision and control during all phases of production, for each and every single unit. The result is production of superior quality lenses by means of an extraordinarily flexible process.
The use of robotics during the manufacturing process, together with the adoption of an advanced ERP system for production planning, makes the facility extraordinarily flexible, allowing for constant product innovation.
SIFI Group Manufacturing Plants are certified by TUV Sud they are compliant with European specific standards, as shown by the CE symbol on our products.
